FAQ

What is Rishi Prasad Gyan Pratiyogita (RPGP)?

It is an online competition based on the monthly magazine ‘Rishi Prasad’. The main competition is held every three months; monthly and practice exams run in between.

How do I prepare?

If you read ‘Rishi Prasad’ regularly, you are already prepared. If you haven’t read it yet, don’t worry — read the three issues published in the three months just before the exam date. So for an exam in January, read the October, November and December issues. Questions come only from those three issues. For monthly exams, read the previous month's issue before the exam date.

Do I need to register?

Yes. You can register on the website or in the app — either one works.

What is the registration fee?

There is none. No registration fee and no hidden charges.

My English is not so good — can I take the exam in another language?

Yes. The exam is held in six languages: Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Odia, Telugu and English. You choose the language while registering, and you can change it later.

I am 16 years old — can I take part?

Of course. The competition runs in four age groups at the same time: up to 12 years, 13 to 17, 18 to 30, and above 30. You compete only within your own group — each group has its own paper, its own duration and its own rank list.

When is the exam held?

The main quarterly exam is held every three months. The date and time of each exam are announced in advance—you will see the details on the website’s front page, on the notice board, and as soon as you open the app. Monthly exams are also conducted regularly, and their date and time will be announced in advance through the same channels.

I don’t have a computer — can I still take it?

Yes. A smartphone or tablet is enough. There is an app, and the website works too.

How many prizes are there?

The top three participants in each age group receive special prizes.

How will I know if I have been selected for a prize?

You will be contacted on the mobile number or email you gave while registering. You can also follow the prize — being prepared, sent, delivered — in your own result.

Do I have to provide proof of age?

Not while registering. Proof is asked for only when a prize is awarded.

When and where do I get my result?

A participation certificate is ready the moment you submit the exam. Marks and rank appear once the result is declared — under ‘Results’ on the website and in the app. If you earn a rank, the certificate of merit is available in the same place.

How can I get the ‘Rishi Prasad’ magazine?

Visit the official Rishi Prasad website for a new subscription or a single issue, or ask at your nearest Sant Shri Asharamji Ashram.

Can I read it on my phone?

Yes, the e-magazine is available on both Android and iPhone. On exam day, the issues the exam is based on open inside the app itself.

What if I run into trouble?

Write on WhatsApp to +91 94846 41651, or email rpgp@rishiprasad.org. The ‘Help’ button at the top of the app and the website leads to the same number.
